Bhalessa legends

Fifty years ago, we were just toddlers….

Fifty years ago, we were just playing with stones, trucks and dolls….

Fifty years ago, we just tried to learn our ABCs…..

Fifty years ago, we were just wondering for our bread and butter…….

Before a recent decade, during the darkest nights, our parents had to hide us in their chests in order to escape the claws of fissiparous tendencies of nefarious designs looming over our heads…..

Now, Bhalessa has grown up and the only passion in lives of the masses is to look for a sea change in their lifestyle in hitherto heritage.

Before I apt to go for a brief discussion on the life and achievements of the people who keep Bhalessa on  Driver’s seat. I mention here that Bhalessa before 50 years of slavery was ruled by people of outside regions thereby we remained under agony, we remained ignorant of the rights and duties. No education, no leadership was the order of the day.

Interestingly, some people started movements to bring change in the lifestyle of the masses.

I put in place the exemplary services rendered by the then Director Education Ghulam Rasool Azad who owing to his social and Political movement- The cohesive social order seemed to be revealed. We are all taking fruits of the the main root of our terrain-who contributed richy  or the educational advancement, economic development and in diverse fields of his activity.

I mention the names of those who contributed immensely for the popularization of Bhalessa’s social political and developmental convas were, Ghulam Rasool Azad, Munshi Mohd. Anwer, Munshi Ram Chand Parihar, Gahulam Nabi Rather, Master Anoroud Singh, Hari saran Jaildar, Habib ullah Malik, Prof. Umer Din, Abdul Aziz Batt and Talib Bhalessi.

Composting Toilet Environmental Benefits

There are many pros to installing a composting toilet: money savings for the owner, improved facilities when the composting toilet is replacing an old outhouse, and particularly environmental benefits.  In this article, we’re going to discuss a few of the ways that composting toilets make a very big and very positive impact on the world around us.

Environmental Benefit 1-Less Pollution
The disposal of human waste is one of the largest sources of pollution, water contamination, and disease on earth.  In many third world countries, basic sanitation systems are not present, meaning that people are simultaneously drinking from and eliminating in the same streams and rivers.  The health implications of this are obvious.  The World Health Organization estimates that 80% of all disease and death in developing countries is cause by polluted water, with fecal matter being one of the major contaminants of freshwater around the world.

Even in developed countries like the United States, 20% of people are getting their tap water from private wells, which are easily contaminated by old, failing septic systems that owners don’t want to spend the money to repair or replace.  Septic systems should be inspected every 2 years and pumped every 3-5 years to ensure proper functioning and to prevent possible contamination of nearby wells and other groundwater.  Failure to do so can lead to fecal contamination causing dysentery and even hepatitis.

Environmental Benefit 2-Use Less Water
Since many composting toilet systems are waterless, and since about 25% of the average American home’s water consumption is used to flush toilets, the potential water savings from composting toilets are huge.  As much as 80 to 90 gallons of water per day, or approximately 32,000 gallons per year, can be saved in a U.S. household simply by installing composting toilets.  When freshwater is saved, this also means that energy is saved-the energy that would otherwise go into wastewater treatment plants where wastewater is made clean again.

Environmental Benefit 3-Nutrients are Recycled, Not Wasted
Did you know that over 90% of the waste we produce is actually water?  When the water is removed, and salts are oxidized, only about 3% of the original waste is left.  When this small 3% is properly decomposed, valuable nutrients are leftover, creating a fertilizer that is ideal for plants, trees, and shrubs.  By flushing our waste down the drain, we waste an enormous amount of water simply to transport the waste to another location where those valuable nutrients will be disposed of, instead of recycled back to nature.  A composting toilet, on the other hand is a completely self-sufficient system that does not waste water and uses very little energy.

The primary function of any composting toilet is to first evaporate all the water, leaving behind the very small amount of solid matter.  In a properly functioning composting toilet, this solid matter need not be seen or dealt with directly by the homeowner until it is completely processed (decomposed), at which point it will look like nothing more than inoffensive garden soil.  This compost can then be added to your flower garden, trees, or shrubs, where it will provide excellent growth benefits for those plants.

As anyone can see, composting toilets make a lot of sense when compared to their traditional, water-wasting counterparts.  So if you are someone who is concerned about the environment, or who simply wants to save money on your water bill, and if you need to replace a toilet in the near future, it might be time to give composting toilets a little further consideration and research.  Today’s modern systems are clean and sleek, completely odorless, and very easy to install and maintain.  By installing a composting toilet, you’ll save money in the long run, and you can rest easy knowing that you’re doing something really great for the environment, too.

You Are the Problem, You Are the Solution

It is time to rectify the mistakes of past unplanned development. Effective and quick solutions are required for the revival of the environment of the Earth. This is not going to succeed with the efforts of just one person. Everybody has to take conscious steps to ensure sustainable living conditions.

Role Of The Online Forums

This is where green blogs enter in the picture. These forums suggest green solutions to abate or correct the problems that have upset the environmental balance of the Earth. Green solutions are an emergency response to minimize the negative affects of human activity. All that is required is a small change in lifestyle. Most of the emissions that cause global warming are life-style emissions. It is important to modify the way of living instead of exploiting the existing resources leading to environmental repercussions and a struggle for natural resources.

There are some simple but vital tips that you can consider for a cleaner planet:

* Why go for strong toxic chemical cleansing solutions? Use vinegar, baking soda, and lemons as cleansing agents for your house. These can keep your home clean on a minimal budget minus the harsh chemicals in some cleaners.
* Carry your own reusable bags made of cotton, hemp, paper, or nylon instead of plastic bags.
* Try to stick to organic food. These are healthier and contain no harmful chemical like the genetically modified products.
* Many experts on climate change have called for a sharp reduction of GHF emissions to 40 percent below 1990 level by 2030. This can be done by an increased use of renewable energy sources, implementing green building policies and diverting waste from landfills. Changing land use and transportation patterns would also check the emission output. Encouraging the use of green fuel and the use of bicycles to work are one of the ways of bringing down pollution levels.
* City buildings and traffic lights can use energy efficient light emitting diodes (LED-s) to reduce the level of CO2 output.
* Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL-s) are a great way to conserve electricity.
* Renewable means of energy can be harnessed by purchasing wind, solar, and geothermal power. It should be the aim of all governments to generate at least 35 percent electricity from clean sources of energy by 2020.

Some of the green solutions are expensive. What is more important is to subsidize them, to make them accessible to everyone. It is everybody’s responsibility to contribute their own small way.

The Squashing of Free Energy Inventions

Amongst the inconveniences threatening inventors is the fact that their inventions are continuously evaluated for their war capability. This may well bring about the unwelcome attention of the Pentagon, the CIA or other less well-known secret government organizations.

It is a well known fact that the science and medical fields in the USA are contaminated by the so-called "Intelligence" or Secret Services.

Those of us involved in free energy technologies are familiar with the suppression of free-energy devices, from Nitro Cells intended for engines and magnetic motors, to water-splitting devices in addition to permanent magnet motors.

Considering the ways that both Tesla and Moray’s inventions were suppressed it was decided to see what other inventions regarding free energy have been suppressed.

As it turns out quite a few!

In the USA alone there are over 6000 patents dealing with free energy technologies currently being suppressed for so called security reasons.

The suppression of their discoveries can take a variety of forms for example:

- media campaigns to destroy the credibility of the inventor;
- threats against family members or to self;
- suing the inventor or patent holder; – being bought off;
- not being able to secure financial backing; and
- ultimately death by murder.

Amongst those that have had their inventions suppressed include:

- Bruce De Palma with his N-Machine in 1977. His N-Machine produced 5-times more power than it took to drive it. He was once threatened with having his head blown off as well as with being kidnapped.

- Stanley Meyer’s water fuel cell which split ordinary tap water into hydrogen and oxygen with far less energy than that required by a normal electrolytic cell. Pentagon official paid him a visit. Meyers found it almost impossible to get financial backing for his invention. Stanley Meyer died unexpectedly on 21 March 1998 after eating out at a restaurant. Many do not believe the official cause of death of cerebral aneurysm. They believe that he was poisoned to suppress the technology.

- Ed Gray for the audacity to have a power tube with an output power 100 times the input power.

- Bill Williams for running his truck on a Joe Cell. On April 11, 2006 by two unknown individuals told him to stop all of his work on alternative energy or there would be dire consequences. Williams complied.

- Teruo Kawai’s patented magnetic motor which is 160% efficient.

As a side note, why is it that the moment one does not believe the official story you are regarded as a conspiracy theorist?

The above list is but a small sample of inventors who have had their inventions suppressed. To date there are literally thousands of inventors who have had their inventions suppressed.

Take the time to think, if only for a minute, what our world would be like if these technologies had not been suppressed. How much further we could have gone if energy was no longer a problem!

Who owns the water in Montana?

It all comes down to water.

In Montana, water, or at least access to it, is the center of a debate between ranch owners and residential real estate developers. Six ranch owners are seeking the help of the Department of Natural Resources in limiting the water use rights they feel are being doled out carelessly, thanks to a loophole in the law, to supply new subdivisions with water that is sorely needed for agribusiness use.

At the core of the debate is the state-use rule that allow for small wells located within large subdivisions to be exempt from state water laws. While the law gives priority to existing farms and ranches, the loophole has allowed developments to tap into underground water supplies without any regulatory repercussions. The land, once used for agricultural purposes, is now being developed, putting tens of thousands of new homes onto the Montana landscape and taxing an already limited underground water supply. In some cases, hundreds of homes are drawing from the same underground water source. Between 2000 and 2008, nearly 30,000 wells, all exempt from state laws, were drilled in the state.

Who owns the water rights? According to Montana’s laws, the farming interests in the state have more or less a first-use right to the water. Yet with climate issues putting even more demand on water supplies, new development could spell disaster for agribusinesses should water supplies become depleted. Agribusiness owners who are seeing housing developments springing up around them are deeply concerned. Owners with water rights dating back hundreds of years are now scrambling to stop the slow draining of water that threatens to alter how they do business.

This news comes on the heels of a USDA report showing that nearly 55 million acres of US farmland are now irrigated, a figure that shows a five-percent increase in the last six years. That’s an expensive alternative – the study found that in 2008 alone, agribusiness owners spent $2.1 billion on expenses related to irrigation equipment, facilities, land improvements and computer technology.

What do you think? Who owns the rights to the water supply? Where does your business obtain its water? Should there be a shared interest between agribusinesses and residents?

Advantages of Biomass As a Source of Energy

As the future and impact of traditional fuels like petroleum and coal come into question biomass is getting more attention as an alternative source of energy.

Biomass is simply any material that is formed by living things. Plants, animals, fungus, micro organisms and even you are biomass. When people talk about biomass they are usually talking about biomass that can be used as a source of energy which is called biofuel.

Fossil fuels like coal and petroleum are believed to be the remains of ancient plants and animals so they are biomass too but when people talk about biomass they are usually referring to material that comes from living things today.

The major advantage of biomass is that it is renewable and considered carbon neural. Unlike fossil fuels biomass is part of the current natural carbon cycle so there is no long term net increase in carbon in the atmosphere when biofuels are burned.

Many biofuels can be produced from waste materials that come from producing other agricultural and forest products. In this case energy is being utilized that would otherwise have gone to waste.

It’s a domestic source of energy that is less influenced by political instability and world events. Using biofuel supports local economies.

Unfortunately biofuels haven’t been cost competitive with most other sources of energy. So far as a fuel for cars or for generating electricity the cost and energy loss from converting biomass into other forms of fuel and energy are too great. Advances in technology could make it more practical in the future but so far we aren’t there yet.

There is an exception to this and that is using biomass for direct heating. People have been heating by burning biomass like wood for thousands of years. This old technology may still be proving to be the most efficient way to utilize biomass energy.

Traditional wood heat may not be practical for most people but wood and other biomass pellets are a practical alternative. Pellet stoves are becoming more popular and are almost as convenient and clean burning as traditional heating systems.

For people who want to use biomass for energy they can do so today by switching to pellets for home heating.

Learn more about pellet burning stoves and learn about making wood pellets.

Threats from Global Warming

Global warming is a natural phenomenon and has been taking place over years and years. Recently in last decade it has become threatening ad people are more aware about it. The reason is recently there has been a rise in the rate of global warming. Global warming primarily is the effect of greenhouse effect.

Let us understand what greenhouse effect is all about. The main source of light and natural energy to earth is sun.  Almost half of the sun’s energy in rays is absorbed by earth’s surface. Earth in return, radiates back this energy in form of infrared rays. Now, when this heat is absorbed by greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and gets trapped, it results in global warming.

Global warming is the increase in the temperature of earth and its surface all across. The main contributor of carbon dioxide in atmosphere is power plants. These power plants burn fossil fuels and coal to generate power. Burning coal is the main contributor of carbon dioxide. With rise in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere the gas absorbs more and more heat around and thus increases the global warming.

The major threat from global warming is global climate change. Climate change can be life threatening also if people living in that area are not able to cope up with it. Glaciers around the globe are melting. Melting glaciers actually means rise in the sea level. If we think about it, then the rise in sea level in itself can pose a lot of threats to human kind. First and foremost, it can be a dangerous thing for all the tows and places near coastal areas. The life of people at such places can be in danger. Secondly, with rise in sea water level, there is threat to the ground level. When mixed with ground water, sea water can be a threat to the drinking water. Scarcity of drinking water in itself can result in lot of chaos.

With change in climate around the world, there will be more of natural calamities. Natural calamities like floods, droughts, cyclones, volcanoes etc. World will suffer a lot if global warming is not fought against today itself. We can also decrease the effect of global warming by controlling it. It can be done by a lot of things which we as individuals can start at home. Things like planting more and more trees around. Planting more trees will not just help in avoiding soil erosion. It will also help in releasing live saving gas i.e. oxygen. Apart from this, trees also help us in controlling the greenhouse effect by absorbing greenhouse gases.

However, if we look around we hardly find people planting trees. We can easily find people who want to cut trees and use them or use that land. We should also avoid using paper and go for electronic media. This will save trees as well.

Usage of plastic bags results in garbage and when this garbage is burnt, it releases more harmful gases in the atmosphere.

Increasing Popularity of Solar Powered Homes

Finally, the era has come where the Solar energy is being used widely for residential purposes too. Days were gone, when Solar energy was been used only for commercial purposes, mainly by factories and industries. There were various reasons why it was no popular in homes.

1. The set-up cost was so high that a household cannot afford
2. Lack of awareness among the households
3. No scarce of electricity
4. People were not much bothered about the electricity bills

In recent days, people have become more concerned about the solar power and how it can be utilised. They also have realised with one time investment, a good amount of money can be saved, instead of paying huge bills every month. The reasons behind the popularity of solar powered homes:

1. Power can be saved and utilized later
2. Get rid of voltage drop and lack of electricity
3. Emergency purposes
4. Get rid of paying big sum for bills

In the year 1998, a report says around 15,000 households were using solar power. But a report at the end of the year 2007 reads that more than 280,000 households were moved towards solar power. Within a decade, 265,000 turned to solar power. This is more than 1700% turn around.

Getting more deeper into the study, people started noticing the benefits of the solar energy in the 2003 – 2004 period. The proof for this statement is, in the year 2003, nearly 48,000 photovoltaic cells were shipped for residential purposes. By the year 2004, it was 78,000, a noticeable increase of 30,000 photovoltaic cells.

Since then, the increase was enormous. At the end of the year 2005, over 134,000 solar power scells were shipped. The difference is 56,000 which is even more high. In 2006, it was 206,000, the difference this time is 72,000. At the end of year 2007, the shipments were 280,000, a rise of 74,000. It was predicted that this rise will be keep increasing since then.

Waste Management in Australia

Waste management is actually quite a fascinating subject that has many facets to it. Basically it involves collecting materials that others simply throw away as trash and sorting it into either stuff that has no further use or those that can be recycled. They then have to be transported to locations that can dispose of them safely and appropriately.

The important aspect to efficient waste management is that it is organized in such a way that it has no adverse effect on others or the surroundings. There are steps to deal with waste and they consist of examining it to find out what it consists of, how it can be collected safely, appropriate means of transport, the process method and its eventual disposal, whether this is to a landfill or a recycling facility.

Waste management can be a well-organized and green option and it is every organizations responsibility to check their disposal systems are managed correctly.

An environmental company offers services related to the collection of waste and can advice residents and large companies on resourceful ways to get rid of it. Services for large companies include waste collection, recycling and disposal, hazardous waste management, emergency response, laboratory services, asbestos removal and re-insulation. With years of experience in the subject, look online for help in management solutions that can eliminate your waste problems.

An environmental service works by first identifying the types and amount of waste produced before they can come to any decision as to how to deal with it. Once this has been identified and processes put into place, the service keeps track to check their systems are working at their best and if not make changes to rectify this.

During the collection process, special containers for hazardous materials are implemented and other containers, such as skip bins and bottle banks, put into place and arranged to be emptied at regular intervals depending upon how quickly they are filled. Each company will be different in their needs and services tailored to fit.

There are specific types of containers to store waste, these can range from drums for small quantities of hazardous liquid waste, skip bins for general waste collection, tankers with a capacity of between 6 000-39 000 liters used for anything from sludge and acids to septic waste and grease.

For some waste special vehicles are required to dispose of it safely. Hazardous waste collection vehicles are specially designed for the collection of liquid and contaminated waste, anything from oils and cyanide waste to detergents, adhesives, acids and chemicals. Collections are generally scheduled but many companies also offer 24 hour service and emergency response.

Waste processes involve separating it before it can be treated, packaged or sent for recycling or disposal. Facilities for liquid waste treatment have to meet strict EPA guidelines and be operated by highly trained and skilled personnel. Companies are now demanding environmentally conscious and sustainable plans for their waste, one effort to incorporate this involves recycling centers particularly for construction and demolition waste that sort and recover materials for reuse. Building materials are separated into bricks, tiles, concrete and timber, and plasterboard before being processed and recycled with the plan of selling it back to the building industry as an inexpensive alternative to new material.

E-waste collection is an easy way to attain high recycling rates for old IT equipment, the issue with electronic waste is that it contains hazardous substances such as lead and mercury. Opting to recycle E-waste, your business will be able to enhance its environmental image and let your customers know that you are being environmentally responsible. Electrical equipment accepted for recycling can include mobile phones, printers, desktop PCs and monitors. After they have been dismantled they are re-used as raw materials to produce new products.

Waste processes and environmental solutions are being updated all the time due to ongoing research. The amount of items that can be recycled these days is huge and includes everyday items like paper, plastic, metals, building materials, electronic items, cabling, mobile phones and furniture and garden waste.

Check online for facilities management services that can help you to put into operation effectual and appropriate waste management solutions.

Michiel Van Kets writes articles for Veolia Environmental Services, Australia’s environmental services leader in all facets of waste management, resource recovery and facilities management services. The company has over 30 years industry experience in implementing effective, innovative and sustainable waste management and industrial services solutions. Visit waste management Veolia Australia for information on waste management and electronic waste recycling.
